Disgrace to Persian Food. They use yellow 5 food coloring instead of real saffron on their rice. They're meats are old and their veggies are not fresh. The entire restaurant was dirty. The silverware was even scratched up and i was disgusted to use them. I had a friend that used to work there that told me he found a vermin in the kitchen on his first day. GOTO BANDAR ... trust me!!!
BEST PERSIAN FOOD IN SAN DIEGO!. I love Sadaf! I've had a lot of Persian food in my day and this is hands down the most authentic I've tasted. The La Jolla location is perfect for a quick bite to eat or take out and the Gaslamp location is better for dates and entertainment (Full Bar & Belly dancing, Night Club on Weekends). The food is completely delicious, whenever I am in the area I always make sure to grab take out. The lentil soup is delicious as is the chicken koobideh. Definitely give Sadaf a shot!
Persian palace expands dining options for upsclae foodies in the heart of the Gaslamp..
In Short
World travelers feel right at home at this Middle Eastern Gaslamp favorite. A sky painted ceiling and handsome dark cheery wood bar welcome patrons, as well as plush chairs the building's original brick walls. Shish Kabobs and eggplant dishes are the trademark here, and it's hard to leave one of the intimate tables without feeling more than satisfied by the generous servings.
