Best Hookah in SD. Fumari is a great place to go to with a couple of friends to chill and enjoy a really nice cozy hookah experience. You can smell the samples before choosing what hookah flavor you want to try. They've got the biggest selection I've seen. My favorites are Watermelon, White Peach, and Lemon Mint. The best part is there hookahs smoke so smooth, I think it's the coal they use. The hookahs are reasonably priced... it's defiantly cheaper then buying drinks at any club downtown. And if you don't feel like going out at all you can bring Fumari home to you by going to their site.

A fun environment, great staff and happy hour.... This lounge isn't right in the middle of the Gaslamp district but being a block or two away this would make for the perfect date night since you can head out to the Gaslamp after for drinks and dancing. No cover here. They have a happy hour from 7-8pm; hookahs are 1/2 off! They have a pretty decent beer selection, a huge list of teas along with other drinks. They have a huge selection of tobacoo flavors too and are more then willing to help you find your new favorite flavor. While small, it is a much more comfortable place than some other places that use cafeteria like seating. I also spoke to them about their specials. They have some good deals to take their sheesha home with you as well. Yes, this is their own brand too. The staff is friendly and fun as well. Just try to get there early on the weekends to avoid the line and the wait.

Great atmosphere and location. I thought this was a great hookah place. It is very casual and kind of small inside, but there are super high cielings, and it's dimly lit so you don't feel cramped. There are also floor-to-cieling removable windows, which they open up so it feels nice and open at night. Seating is available out on the sidewalk, but I would recommend sitting inside. There are comfortable seats along the wall which would be great for groups. I sat on a small table in the middle as I was with only one other person. We got a hookah to share, and thought it was pretty decent sheesha. There was a really big selection too. The service was really good. We also ordered tea, and I had a delicious frozen drink. Definitely not for groups larger than 6 because it isn't too big. We asked about the DJ, but never got a clear answer, so I think they don't have that anymore.

A Middle Eastern transplant in San Diego's Gaslamp, this hookah lounge attracts curious first-timers, as well as experienced tobacco aficionados.. In Short
Off the beaten-path of the Gaslamp's bustling Fourth Ave, Fumari isn't typical of the neighborhoods trendy fasionistas, appealing more to low-key locals who are looking for a sedated alternative to the pulsing nightclubs a block away. Casual is the key here, and mellow is the mood, with a DJ spinning house music as a soundtrack to the hookah pipes and flavored tobaccos that fill them. Coffee and pastries are also served.
