What People Are Saying About Top Of The Hyatt
The Editor

Erin Chambers
Citysearch
In Short – Floor-to-ceiling windows surround private, luxurious seating clusters on the 40th floor of San Diego's version of the Empire State Building. City lights from outside accent the barely flickering candles on each low table surrounded by plush chairs tapestry-like curtains. The champagne list is selective and pricey, as is the small menu of nibbles available which includes a warm crab dip and classic shrimp cocktail.
total romance

I saw someone get engaged here once and it was the coolest thing ever! This place is old-school and romantic. The perfect place for a quiet couples dinner.
The Details on Top Of The Hyatt
Parking:
The bar does not validate parking like the hotel's restaurants do. The lot at the adjacent Seaport Village is free compared to $4 per hour for the Hyatt garage.
When to Go:
Shirley Temples are a common sight in the early evening, but a 21-plus rule takes effect at 8pm.
Look Good:
The unofficial dress code doesn't reach jacket-and-tie standards, but flip-flops definitely don't fly in the evening.
