Back fifty years ago, the East Village area was known for shops selling restaurant supplies and equipment. Market Street was donned the nick name, ‘restaurant row'. Only one has remained, San Diego Restaurant Supply. 1958, SDRS opened their doors and have stayed true to their mission of absolute customer satisfaction.
Located on the corner of Market Street and Park Blvd, SDRS houses a warehouse full of anything a restaurant owner could ever need. A crew of twenty seven employees help run this well oiled machine of precision. At the top is president and highly respected businessman, Tod Firotto. The staff is exceptionally well-informed on helping customers find the best products for their kitchen. Sales manager, Lucy Brownyer has many years of experience working in the restaurant supply industry. Together with Bernie and Sylvia on the sales floor, they have a total of 46 years in the restaurant supply business. With knowledgeable and easy going attitudes, clients shopping and design needs will be surpassed.
The design team offers clients with start to finish guidance on completing their projects. Designing custom built kitchens and even entire restaurants. They also have a solid relationship in institutional sales such as schools, prisons and the Navy. Recently, SDRS introduced a new product, Chef's Wear clothing, which allows chef's in the local area a place to shop for the latest fashions. All the foodies living downtown have a one stop shopping experience in their neighborhood.
