If you need simple legal services like an uncontested divorce, a simple will or simple bankruptcy; I believe that Chris Ramey can help you out. Make sure that he doesn't charge too much. If you want something more complicated, then he is not the lawyer for you. Stay away, run away.

Like the other responder said: If he is your opponent's lawyer then celebrate.

Checkout his credentials. He looks old and experienced but he has not been practicing that long. I believe that this is his second career.

If Ramey is your opponent's lawyer, celebrate!. Christopher Ramey was the opposing lawyer in a lawsuit his client filed against me, as a tactic to avoid paying me for services rendered.

He behaved highly unprofessionally, with emotional outbursts in person and by email.

He facilitated false allegations without evidence that were easily disproved and filed most papers late.

The only motion he won was when he filed an affidavit of his own "neglect", CA section 473. He and his client were fined by the judge.

I am a non-attorney who defended myself. I won the case. His client eventually had to pay me more than he originally owed in Small Claims.

AVOID THEM. Kelly Stairs has represented me several times and I am NOT satisfy with his work. He is not knowledgeable as I first originally thought... He took too long at handling my latest case, and we eventually lost the case because of his lack of knowledge of the law. Ramey Stairs lost out on something that cost me money because of their screw up...

Stay away from Kelly D Stairs. Kelly D Stairs at Ramey Stairs, APC is a pure idiot. I had the very same experience with Kelly D Stairs before wished I researched Ramey Stairs before I hired him. I would not recommend him/Ramey Stairs APC to anyone. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Hard to communicate due to long response time, he prefers everything to be done through email in which he has a turnover rate of 3 - 7 days in responding. Many many many regrets!

do not hire this attorney!. Save yourself a ton of frustration. Do not hire this attorney. He was o.k. at first, then must have gotten tired of my case. He stopped working on it, didnt return any messages and has disappeared. Phone and email messages go unanswered. He talks about himself like he's the greatest attorney, but actions speak louder than words, and his actions scream UNPROFESSIONAL!

Wonderful Law Firm to Work with!. Wow, these statements are so far from the truth and my experiences with Chris Ramey! Mr. Ramey has been my attorney for the past 2.5 years! He gives his clients 100 percent of his attention. The work has always been completed on time! Mr. Ramey is a big guy, with a big heart! He's a man of greatly integrity! Obviously this handful of individuals has misunderstood him GREATLY! Yes… you can trust RameyStairs! Take it from some who knows and who has put their faith in Chris Ramey!

Surprised. I was a legal assistant for Mr. Ramey for more than a year, and I am very surprised to see these reviews.

I never saw any attorney there do anything that caused me to question their ethics or their work values. They donated their time to clients who couldn't afford legal services, and were always getting praised by their clients. The only ones who complained were the ones that didn't pay their bills.

I'm suspicious about the comments that "Chris and Kelly" both did something wrong to one client because Chris and Kelly do not work together on cases. They do different types of law, and have different clients. So one person saying that both attorneys treated them wrong isn't true because Mr. Stairs never worked with Mr. Ramey's' clients and vice versa.

I am sad to see these reviews because I enjoyed working there, and enjoyed working for Chris and his clients. I think they're good lawyers. I would use them if I needed a lawyer.

FYI about Ramey Stairs. I won't go into details about this firm. Just ask Chris Ramey how many times he's been sanctioned by the court and for how much.

Not very informed or up to date, unprepared, condescending. Not very informed or up to date, unprepared, condescending, disrespectful, took forever to complete the petition. The wife and my experience, this is the worst law firm. Listen if their services were free, DO NOT hire them.
