Best Tastings around
by winemonstr
I was looking for an interesting outing last wednesday, and I came across Tango. It just so happened that they were having a "Wine Class" about the Casa Lapostolle winery and the wines that they offer. I was very impressed by the knowledge of the staff, and their friendly attitudes, even considering my inexperiance and silly questions. All in all, it was a memorable night and I can't wait for the next "Wine Class". A must see in Little italy.
- Pros: Great Staff knowledge, outstanding wine prices
- Cons: focussed on American(north and south)
Tango Wine for Cruise Ship Wine and Tasting Wine
by Jeffn
My wife and I had what we call two great experiences in one at Tango Wine Company. We found them online based on close proximity to the San Diego airport and espcially to where our cruise ship was departing. Started out we browsed their wines online and then called to order 2 cases of wine to take on our Holland America cruise.
Once we arrived from San Diego airport we stopped by to pick up the wines and since we were there why not taste a few! This actually resulted in changing out a few bottles in our original cases for some new wines that we tasted. The staff were really friendly and did not at all try to upsell us. We felt they really wanted us to have the right wines. We had a really great time hanging out in the Tango Wine lounge and look forward to our next trip to tango and San Diego.
With that, we highly recommend Tango Wine for not only hanging our drinking wine but also for grabbing soem great bottles of wine if your cruise ship is departing out of San Diego. I guarantee with the prices on the cruise ships for wine this will save you a bundle.
- Pros: amazing wine, close to cruise ship, view of San Diego harbor
- Cons: I live too far to go often
Great Wine - Great Value
by NatSD
Tango is a great place to have a get together with your friends, especially on the weekends. They have $5 dollar testing?s with yummy affordable wine. I have to say going to Tango has made me do away with 2-Buck Chuck. I have been converted to enjoying the good stuff Argentina, Chile, and Australia has to offer. Every time I go whether it?s with my fiends or family we always have a good time. The no corkage fee is awesome and is always a group fav.
- Pros: Good wine, Ambience, Nice Staff
