What People Are Saying About Wine Lover

In Short – Past the trail of tile-work in the iron-enclosed patio, a central redwood bar twinkles with 'stars' in the painted ceiling. The small, the plush interior can only accommodate about 25 people at a time, be they after-work professionals, cooing couples or Landmark theatergoers. A smart wine list runs the gamut from Italian Montepulcianos to Argentinean malbecs, themed flights and a reserve list of bottles over $100. Nibbles include imported olives, cheese and charcuterie.
Good Menu, Poor Attention To Detail / Service.

The wine and appetizers are good / average - I had the artisinal cheeses and a glass of Domaine Valette chardonnay. The ambience is nice. I've been to this wine bar many times over the years and it's always enjoyable. However, the outdoor tables and chairs were covered in dirt and I had to ask the waiter to clean them - this should have been done before they opened the doors for business that day. They give you a plastic knife to cut the hard cheeses which they serve on a plastic plate. If the owners are reading this, please use real dinnerware and flatware, not plastic. They gave me only a cocktail napkin - they should have full-size napkins when serving food. Their website states they open at 4:30pm but they really open at 5:00pm. I brought this to the attention of the waiter and he replied that they need to change that. Overall the restaurant is nice but they need to pay more attention to detail.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Outdoor tables are dirty, plastic dinnerware.
Romantic Spot

You'll have trouble finding a cozier spot than this for a date. I am all about the mood at the places I go to, and this one just about tops my list. The lighting, friendly service, and decor all add up to a very comfortable romantic experience. The wine list changes and there is always something new and interesting to try, which is so fun here because the staff really know the wine and can guide you along your tasing-especially if you sit at the bar. I like to come in on a week night after dinner. Try the international olive plate if you like olives!
- Pros: atmosphere, service, good food selections to go with your wine (olives
- Cons: Parking...ugg always
This place has ambience for days

Just the lighting in this place makes it one of the most romantic spots in the city!! With their dimly uplit marble bar top, and beaded lamp shades the entire inside of this little wine bar just glows. Each time we stop in there, the staff are such interesting people, easy to talk to and really know their stuff. Great place for a before or after dinner glass of vino.
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Selection
- Cons: no parking - but worth the hunt for a spot!
