I recently wen to the lunch buffet at Bombay. The selection was decent, they had about 4-5 vegetable and meat dishes to choose from. The naan though was excellent. It was made to order and was definitely one of the better things they had in the buffet, along with the desserts. The food itself was mild in flavor (probably toned down for American Palates). The restaurant itself was BEAUTIFUL. The wait staff was very friendly and the price of the buffet was very reasonable. All in all a pretty good experience. My wife and I are new to the area, so we're hoping to find a place with more robust flavors. If you're craving Indian food though, this will quell that craving for sure.

Pros: Great Ambience, good value (for buffet)

Cons: mild flavor, parking

My husband and I just moved to San Diego and we started to explore restaurants in different neigborhoods. Since we love indian cuisine today we decided to go to this restaurant since we often trust the rating in city search. We got there and the place looked fancy, great ambiance but what a terrible terrible service... it seemed to me that none of the waiters or hostess cared a bit for customers.... at the begining we got seated at a table and then we kept waiting for our waiter to get us someting to drink. We got the buffet option, food was good, thank god we did the buffet otherwise we'd still be there waiting!!! Nobody came by our table refilling the glasses with water - such a simple thing to do!!! Service is very slow, the waiters move in a slow motion, they were spacing out or hanging out by the bar with the bartender....... Then at the end - oh surprise! the check came and my husband had to pay for the most expensive beer ever, a 8oz local beer $7.00 my god it was ridiculous!! Anyways, good food, but the service was so bad we will never return to this restaurant again.

Pros: Nice atmosphere

Cons: Pathetic service
