DO NOT GO HERE. The people that work here are so rude. This place it a dirty hole in the wall. Do not waste your money on the watered down drinks and horribly rude workers. Don't support a place that is rude to customers!!

New owners transformed the discrete, tucked-away dive bar (known nationally as the San Diego Sports Club) in 2008 into a more hip, music-focused gathering place. From bands trying to get a gig to DJs looking for a pumped crowd to San Diego artists seeking a venue for show, the theme at Ruby Room is "anything local." All beers on tap come from local breweries, and various themed events include fashion shows and art displays highlighting local talent. The bar food isn't bad, but you can wander University Ave for a tasty bite when the munchies hit.
