Genesis Salon. Genesis Salon is a neat place with high quality products and services. It is a family owned business by Peter and Martha Garcia. Their daughter, Janessa is alos a makeup artist at the salon. Martha and Peter are very friendsly and have created their saon around a comfortable and family oriented ambiance. Genesis is a full service salon with cutting edge estheticians and stylists. I was very impressed with how cooperative everyone at the salon was. I watched some of the employees’ interact with clients and each other and realized that their relationships were truly personable. The salon carries high quality products, including jewelry, purses and styling tools. The whole place is very clean and tastefully decorated with a combination of red, beige, and black. The styles stations are very modern and neat. Parking is readily available and overall the salon and the people who work there are very accommodating. Genesis salon is one of the best in the Mission Hills area.

Tara just rocks!. Never was big on my hair but Tara at Genesis took me in one day as the mess I was and made it an art form... Not full of my self but my hair is always flawless thanx to her! Please come and see her any time she is also my part time therapist!

Erin Ditlow @ Genesis is the BEST .... If you're looking for fabulous hair from a no-nonsense stylist, you must visit Erin Ditlow at Genesis Salon. I live in North County so it's a trek, but well worth it, especially considering the abundance of no-talent stylists in San Diego. If you're not interested in doing trial and error with your hair to find a good stylist, Erin is your best bet! I have tried stylists from top salons in NYC and have not emerged happier than I am with Erin.
