In Short
It takes determination to pass by the front bakeshop--rows of glass-enclosed sponge cakes, flaky pastries and glazed candies--and make it back to the dining room of this family-friendly Filipino spot in National City. Brightly colored walls are adorned with photos of the restaurant's specialties, including lumpiang shanghai (fried spring rolls), pancit palabok (noodles topped with sauce, pork and vegetables) and decadent ice cream desserts.
