Catch a moment of zen as this quiet, family-run sushi spot in North County. White rice paper lamps hang above the sushi bar and small tables with magenta table cloths. Polaroid photographs of regular customers cluster along one wall. The menu features standard sushi and sashimi options, as well as combination platters of entrees like salmon teriyaki and chicken katsu served with soup, salad, rice, tempura, California rolls, and gyoza.

Amazing sushi and awesome Customer Service. My husband and I stumbled into this restaurant about a year ago and have never been so glad to accidentally find a place! We were not expecting too much from the looks of the place on the outside, but the customer service and quality of sushi has been non-stop amazing for the last year. The owners, Kevin and Mindy, bend over backward to ensure all customers are taken care of in a timely manner whether an order is made from the menu or the sushi bar. What's also great about this place is that even if there are a ton of carryout orders (which is not out of the ordinary), those are taken care of as well as dine in orders without anyone having to wait too long. They have great lunch and dinner specials, and you really get your money's worth here. No one should go through life in San Diego without having Fujiyama's at least once. :o)

Best sushi in north county. I really love Fujiyama sushi. It is in a non descript strip mall in Rancho Bernardo/ 4S Ranch area, and from the outside it doesnt look like much. But the fish quality is the best north of Zenbu and the staff is very friendly. The do have many specialty rolls, and to be honest I have only had great quality sushit there every time I have been. If you are close and havent been here yet, get there. If you are not in the local area, I suggest you make it a point to come here to try some really great sushi.
