“Ambience was average, service was good.”
bestest pizza ever!!!. my husband and I continue to dine at this place. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Every dish is delicious!!
Great Pizza. Some of the best pizza I've ever had - wish it was closer to my work - I would eat there more often if it was.
AMAZING PIZZA!. I am quite the pizza fan, and my boyfriend kept raving about this place and I finally had some for the first time last night.... amazing! It was super cheesy and the crust had the perfect thickness. Also, the sauce they used was awesome. All around the best pizza I've had in SD, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Award-winning pizza, pasta and sandwiches at family-friendly prices.
In Short
What started out as a pizzeria in 1954 has evolved over the years into a full-service Italian eatery and a perennial local favorite. Lunch specials served Tuesday-Friday include a choice of entree, plus soup or salad, garlic roll and a beverage for under $10. Although the menu now includes manicotti, shrimp scampi, ravioli and veal parmesan, regulars rave about the made-from-scratch pizzas featuring homemade marinara sauce, meatballs, sausage, provolone and pepperoni.
One of the best in SD!.
First of all, let me say that I'm of Italian descent and originally from the New York City area. So I know what good pizza is supposed to taste like and in my humble opinion, Venice Pizza is tops! To start with, with most pizza places the crust is just something to throw the toppings on. Usually dry cardboard. At Venice, the crust is so delectable that you'll be tempted to eat with a knife and fork instead of using your hands. And I usually do! All of the ingredients used are top-notch, especially the italian sausage. The dinner entrees are very good as well. The marinara sauce they use is just right. Not burned like a lot of places. I especially go the the cheese ravioli if I not having the pizza.
Even the ambiance is reminiscent of an old '50's New York pizza house. The only criticism I can make is the pepperoni pizza is a bit salty for my taste. But even so, its so delicious that I can help but overlook it. Try Venice any night of the week. You won't be disappointed!
BEST PIZZA IN TOWN. My sister took me here for a party. The pizza was fantastic. the best I've had. The flavor was incredible. Also had salad which was large for the price. I highly recommend them, I'll be going back. Ambience was average, service was good.
