Best comfort food around

I've always hated chicken pies until my mother brought these home to me while visiting California 30 years ago. I'm thinking oh my goodness I have to choke these down since she carried them home on the bus and raved about the place (she worked there in 1955). I didn't want to hurt her feeling but since tasting them 30+ years ago this is one my families favorite restaurant when we want comfort food. Just great food at low prices (an entire meal is less than $6.00 and that includes homemade (daily) pies). If you haven't tried them you've got to make it your next stop. They only take cash so be sure to have cash on hand. Enjoy!

Home cooking, low low prices

Best 5 dollar dinner you ever had.

Chicken pies good, mashed potatoes tasty, home made pies are recommended

Don't expect a nice atmosphere, just expect a great value. And some friendly service.

And yummy chicken dinners.
