Very Experienced !. Our condo association needed to have a better more secure type key system. Obrien designed and installed a factory controlled key system that completely met our requirements> they also made some reccomendations about handicap compliance that we werent aware of, now we are safe and legal.

Great Local Locksmith. He made my business compliant with fire code and ADA. The service was excellent and the price was extremely fair.

I had called a bunch of locksmiths, none of them had a shop. When i arrived at Obrien the shop was neat and organized. Mike helped me and he was great to work with.

Any one who needs a no frills type place, this is it.

finally a REAL locksmith !. I love this store. the people that work the counter are always pleasant and really know there stuff. My mercedes key was broke in 2 pieces. they copied it and then repaired the lock so keys wouldnt break anymore. We also had our home rekeyed. The service was quick and properly priced.

This place is awful and I would NEVER recommend it!!!. Absolutely ZERO stars!!! In all my years of dealing with the public, I can't imagine treating anyone the way I was treated by this guy. He actually became extremely belligerent and took the original key to our house as well as the keys he'd just made. I am afraid this guy is not ethical and we have notified the police. I will be filing with the BBB and any other consumer agency I can find. He is bad news. I have spoken to several people who have had bad experiences with him and he has many online complaints.

Best Locksmith Ive Ever Met. I went to every locksmith in North Park. Not one of them even understood my question. But, 3 of them did refer me to Obriens.

The employee at the counter took time to listen and very quickly solved the problem with my vehicle security. I had been to Obrien before but lost the location. I would recommend this business to anyone who needs a true security professional.

This place is NO BUENO. Like some of the other reviewers here, I received horrible customer service and was intimidated to the point of tears by the owner. Note that I am not a weeper, but this guy was totally out of line. I've gone to the extent of reporting this business to consumer affairs agencies (which for some reason this web site will not allow me to post the names of??) because of how un-ethically this guy treated me. You've been warned.

Had Very Old Ford keys. I had a lot of trouble finding someone to fix the trunk lock on my old mustang. Two other locksmiths gave me this name and said if he couldnt help me, no one in san diego could.

Well, they were right. I went in and the counter person named Mike helped me without any problems. Not only did he fix the trunk lock but he had a ignition lock that also needed replacement. My car is a 1969 and i can never find parts, he had them all right there.

Needless to say i was very impressed. Those other locksmiths were right.

Friendly, Professional & Very Helpful!. I called O'Brien's for emergency help in replacing a deadbolt. The man who answered the phone was extremely polite and professional and very helpful. Although he initially said he was booked, he made me an appointment for 6:30 pm and gave me a reasonable price quote. As it turns out, I cancelled the appointment because I was able to fix the lock myself. But I wanted to commend this business on their professionalism and responsiveness.

FIXED VERY OLD LOCK. i had an antique lock on my home which i didnt want to replace. the kind gentleman who came to my home was able to fix it. two other so-called locksmiths that i called had never even seen this lock before. The gentleman who came new exactly what this lock was and how to fix it, even if not as good as new, it does work. I wolud reccomend anyone who needs a really experienced locksmith to try this business. It is not the biggest or fanciest but definitely the best !

Found my rare key blank. I went to 5 places who didnt even recognize my key. I went in and this guy didnt hesitate for 1 second, he knew exactly what it was and within 5 minutes i was out the door with a very rare motorcycle key that worked. The store was a comfortable place with a great one of a kind picture of san diego on the wall.
