In Short – With treadmill views of Petco Park's home plate, Padres fans might be tempted to trade in beers and hot dogs for a pair of running shoes. Dubbed San Diego's first "urban fitness retreat" (think of a rock star's country club), FIT offers more than just the best work out equipment in the world. With three instructional rooms for martial arts and boxing, spin and mat classes, members also enjoy ping pong games, personal training packages and an internet café workspace. Not to mention the swank pool lounge and yoga deck offering direct views into Petco Park. –
Best Gym in San Diego

I absolutely love this gym. The Boot Camp rocks! All of my friends workout at Fit—and when I meet someone new that doesn’t, it only takes one visit and then they’re hooked too.
- Pros: Boot Camp
- Cons: I'm sore

Great gym. The fighting program is top notch with people who actually fight. Kettle bells, Bulgarian bag, MMA training—what more do want?
- Pros: mat room
- Cons: none
Not your typical gym
by Bunzos at Citysearch
Fit is not your typical smelly gym that was designed by some meathead with a dream. I'm pretty sure a real designer was hired to do this space. It's obvious from the lounge area to the locker rooms. Superb equipment, great layout, and high quality people too. It's the kind of place where you would actually want to network with the other people who workout there. I can't imagine East Village without this place.
- Pros: well designed space
- Cons: i can't resist the tanning beds
