Expect to order and share, because you're a real fatty if you can finish a whole order by yourself. Free refills on soda which is good for me because all the food makes me thirsty.

WOWWW ! other than the beer, which is not soo good, and i'm a beer fanatic ! It's a great great place. AMAZING FOOD! Totally makes you ignore the fact that they have bad beer.

Phil's BBQ is THE BEST. I am a BBQ junkie and have been to Memphis, Texas, and Kansas City and Phil's is better then these so called best BBQ Cities. We are so lucky that it's right here in SD.

Do what bac02 says call in your order no waiting in a long line out the door. Their BBQ sauce is also fantastic!

Best Ribs in Town. Get to Phil's Early or phone in your order. The atmosphere is part of Phil's charm, but if the line doesn't wrap around the corner you in luck! The ribs and pulled pork sandwhichs are the best you find in all of San Diego. I stop into Phil's whenever I am in town!

Ribs, Ribs, Ribs!. I have had BBQ from the Carolinas to Tenessee to Texas and I have yet to find tastier ribs than the ones at Phil's BBQ in San Diego. MMMMMMM, sunshine and lip smackin' barbecue! Not only are the ribs to die for, but the Broham (pulled pork) sandwich is completely addictive. The BBQ chicken is smokey and delicious, the cole slaw has a little kick to it, and the onion rings are crispy and yummy. Do yourself a favor and go check out Phil's.

Great BBQ. Best BBQ in San Diego. Food comes out fast. It's an extremely casual dining experience. It's more of a cafeteria than a restaurant, but the food is great.

Best Beef Ribs in San Diego. Phil's is the best bbq you can get when you are in San Diego. A friend of mine took me to Phil's over the weekend and even though I've had better BBQ in Texas, their beef ribs are the best in the city. I just wish they had brisket.

Best ribs ever!. Finally got to the new Phil's and ordered for pick-up. It was a bland Tuesday night everywhere else except this place - it was hoppin! Although there were designated lines for phone orders & walk-in orders posted OUTSIDE, there was only 2 other people in front of me. in the phone-in order line. Too bad for the walk-in orders though - it must have been 30 people deep. After paying, I only had to wait 5 minutes for my order. During that time, I looked around a bit and saw that about every table was full, but this is no surprise because they have the BEST DAMN RIBS ever!

After I picked up my grub, I hightailed it outta there and drove back home to downtown. Unfortunately I got stuck in Padres traffic. Fortunately I ordered the onion rings - which I've been told were excellent. Being the first time for me to get them, I just HAD to try a bite before they got cold. Needless to say, the rest never made it back home. I ate ALL the onion rings on the way home!

If you haven't tried this place, go for the pork ribs & onion rings with ranch. You'll dream about them afterwards!
