Located at the tip of Point Loma, this 160-acre unit of the National Park System commemorates conquistador and explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo and preserves the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Visitors enjoy spectacular views of San Diego Bay and the Pacific gray whale migration. Other activities include exploring the tide pools of the rocky intertidal zone and visiting the museum, which features exhibits on the coast artillery, Juan Cabrillo's exploration and the ecosystem of the area.
