Worst Hostess in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!!!. Food is WONDERFUL! Staff is very hard working and in fact OVER WORKED. The worst part of the night is the HOSTESS. The worst hostess in the history of the WORLD! On the last two occasions we stood in the entrance from 5 - 10 minutes waiting to be seated. The hostess does NOT acknowledge you are even in the restaurant. THEN when she finally does ,she does not even apologize for the wait. THIS ALONE would make a person never want to come back again. The hostess is also a busboy........um.......I think UNDER STAFFED would be the correct response. I worked in the restaurant industry for 14 years and if I ever had a hostess that was so rude and inconsiderate to customers she would have been FIRED. Last night there were 2 parties in the entry. A family of 4 and us ( a party of 2)........she proceded to bus and set a table without so much as a "I will be right with you"...............needless to say we were LIVID. Our waitress was WONDERFUL as usual. The food is lovely..............but, when you are NOT greeted when you enter a restaurant and IGNORED............it makes you think ............IS IT REALLY WORTH COMING BACK??????

With its biergarten and savory schnitzels and wursts, the Kaiserhof attempts to provide San Diegans with a most authentic German drinking and dining experience. Waitresses deliver mugs of imported pilsners with a smile and an accent. The dining room is filled with Old Country knick-knacks, and the far more casual outdoor biergarten is heated on chilly nights. Less brave types stick to burgers and knockwursts, while others revel in sautéed chicken livers and spicy zigeunerwursts.
