What started as a home-based confectioner's chocolate-making business turned into a full-fledged neighborhood cafe in 2007. It's a stark, minimalist design with concrete floors, a handful of cafe tables and plenty of exposed baking and candy-making equipment. Owner Will Gustwiller's sea salt caramels, coated with imported chocolate are just the beginning. In addition to a widely-read chocolate lovers blog, he also creates elaborate chocolate-only menus, with everything from chocolate chip waffles to cocoa-crusted bacon. Sign up for one of the candy-making classes held in the back of the cafe to get the full effect of Gustwiller's committment to chocolate.
