Awesome. Awesome guys at Cycle Vision!! We got a deal on a sweet ride and they helped us with everything we needed. The bike selection is amazing and you couldn't ask for better service. I would definitely go back to rent a bike again. They made our trip to San Diego even better than we imagined it would be. Thanks!!
Thanks. I like the good work they do here. I also like that the guys will talk to you about stuff if you want to change gearing or tire size, stuff like that. they are well informed and have lots of good information.
thanks. I came here looking for parts and some advice and technical info. The guy at the parts counter had plenty of it and I was very impressed by his knowledge.
thanks. I took my bike here recently for a new cam and jetting, then had the whole thing dyno tuned. It still looks just like a fat boy but it doesnt move like one anymore!
good work. I had my bike here last week for some injector or FI problems. They got it straightened out and all is smooth again.
Good work. I've brought my bike to your shop a couple times and have been pleased with your work. I even got a follow up call months later to make sure everything is still running ok.
RIDING 50 YEARS AND STILL LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT BIKE SHOP.. BEEN RIDING FOR ABOUT 50 YEARS AND STILL LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT BIKE SHOP. Cycle Vision is my choice until I find perfection. Been using them off and on for more years than I can remember and every time I think this or that shop might be better I try it. Just had an accident up by San Louis. Able to ride the bike home and took it to Cycle Vision. I believe they will be the best at helping the insurance company understand the true cost of replacing all the after market equipment. THEY’RE NOT PERFECT BUT THEY ARE HONEST, COMPETENT AND CARE ABOUT MY BUSINESS.
Hands down the best service in Southern Cali.
For the past two years that I have owned my chopper, I have ran into rather costly issues with this motorcycle. The dealer that I purchased it from ( I'd rather not say, but they are located in Temecula north of the HD dealership) offers shade tree service.
After hearing nothing but great things about Cycle Visions from fellow Marines, I decided to give them a stab at taming my beast. Dave and his crew of mechanics sincerely take pride in getting a rider back on the road on a safe and sound bike. Their thorough knowledge of motorcycles , and attention to details quickly diagnosed the issues with my bike, and found other potential problems that could have lead to more downtime. And their costumer service skills surpass the previous shop I've dealt with. Being a U.S. Marine, I trust my life, and my bike in the hands of Cycle Visions.
Bravo fellas
Best in San Diego. I just read the last 2 reviews and had to post one of my own. I have had Cycle Visions work on my bikes for several years now. I live in Encinitas and still take everything there. They have done everything from major engine work, transmission, cams, dyno tuning and my bikes have always been flawless. I get a full explanation of what needs to be done now versus what can wait til later and they are right on their estimate every time. I have high end custom bikes and I wouldn't trust them to any one else in town.
CROOKS OR INCOMPETENT? EITHER WAY, I'D GO ELSEWHERE.
These guys are either crooks or incompetent. Either way you don't want to do business with them.
1) In 2005 they sold me a brand new starter for my '04 Big Dog Chopper. It was @$700 installed. They said my 1 yr old starter was already toast. I kept the one that was replaced and 4 years later I got around to having a friend look at my old starter and he noticed all I needed to do was replace a broken solenoid switch terminal ($3.00). It works fine now!
2) Some time after that I stripped a cylinder stud bolt and asked their head mechanic how to repair the threaded hole in the crankcase. He told me drill, re-tap and use a helicoil insert in the case. I used the helicoil and it wouldn't hold causing repeated blown head gaskets and eventually having to replace my entire crank case at a cost of $2000. Every other mechanic I've spoken too since has told me the helicoil was the wrong repair application and instead I should have used a much sturdier/solid Time Sert to repair the case.
(I had a machine shop in National City put the flywheel back in my new cases and I'm putting the rest of the motor together myself. )
3) The final straw was yesterday when I went in to see about getting a rear brake rotor and brake pads. I figured how could anyone mess that up. After funmbling through a Drag Specialties catalog for 20 minutes the guy behind the counter said he couldn't help me because he wasn't sure what would fit my bike and he said Big Dog Motorcycles was out of business! I called Big Dog today to verify they are alive and well.
Why did I keep going back? They are the only authorized Big Dog Service center within an hour of my house in San Diego but from now on I'm going to order parts from California Boss Hoss Motorcycles near L.A. . Victor and Brian there are super friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go out of their way to help and try to save you money!
