Tasty, Cheap Japanese!. I usually eat at more fast food style Japanese restaurants, but I went here for the first time two weeks ago and would definitely advise anyone looking for a good salad or soup or really, just about any quick bite. They also have a great daily happy hour. I tried the Seafood miso soup when I went and all of the ingredients seemed fresh, with just the right amount of salt and seasoning. I shared a seaweed salad with my friend which had a pretty generous portion. I noticed that a lot of people ordered the special egg rolls since there was a happy hour special and the sushi also looked pretty good from afar. Next time! haha.

Bang for your dollar. Only four reviews on here?? I know friends that live in the PB area and they swear by this place!! Especially for their happy hour specials which are better than anything I've encountered in the downtown SD area where I'm from.

There was a bit of a wait when we first got there (on a thursday evening) but the sushi rolls were exceptional for the price. I know it's silly to think you can LOOK at a chef and somehow tell if they cook the food authentically or not, but they really did look like they knew what they were doing. I eat Japanese food once probably every other week and if I didn't live so far south of Surfside, Id honestly be back there way more often. Who knows...my bday is coming up pretty soon so I may have to round up the troops and head to PB! :)
