Pacific Beach Surf Shop was originally founded in 1962 by local surf legend, Larry Gordon. In 1994, Randy Strunk took over ownership, and has been operating out of the same location ever since. Randy embodies an overwhelming sense of warmth, and genuine kindness that is reflected in the welcoming atmosphere, upbeat mood, and calming ambiance of his shop. He feels truly blessed to have carried on Pacific Beach Surf Shop’s legacy, and believes that having the shop for the last fifteen years has been a ‘special ride.’
The primary focus of Pacific Beach Surf Shop is to provide superior surfboards, equipment, apparel, and accessories in a ‘cultivated environment of kindness and aloha.’ One of the many brands the shop features is made by Jerry Lopez, one of the industry’s most sought after shapers, in addition to highly regarded veteran brands like Gordon & Smith.
Pacific Beach Surf Shop also offers surf lessons and surf camps.
