But you don't say whether the food is good or not. I'm sorry, but I don't have anything good to say about my dining experience at Du-Par's. Well, let me take that back; the ice water was nice and cold. I could go into a complete tirade about the multitude of things that went wrong, but bottom line; I would not recommend that anyone go to this restaurant. Food, cleanliness, staff, taste, temperature of the food, timeliness, on & on & on. Incompetent cannot accurately define the wait staff. Would you argue with the customer over what they ordered??? And wanting to express my dissatisfaction to the manager was a complete waste of time. After stating to him that this was the first and last time I would ever patronize his restaurant, he claimed that I “threatened” him. Buddy, if that was threatening; you’d better live in a guarded, gated community because you are easily threatened.
A home-style, family-friendly diner best known for its pies..
In Short
These roadside restaurants, now numbering in the hundreds, have been winning over the West since 1983. More polished than the average greasy spoon with homey wood accents and hanging plants, the casual surroundings are suited to families celebrating a special event or making an occasion out of a regular dinner. They'll find classic American dishes and more--breakfast omelets, shrimp-and-steak combinations and spicy chipotle mayo burgers, with the bonus of caramel-pecan-cream-cheese and country apple pies for dessert.
