Great little place to meet people, the worse service you will ever get from server, get your drinks from the bartender himself.
great little place to meet and greet new people, BUT the worse service I have ever had. Waitress simply took the drink from my Canadian Visitor's after we refused to pay again for a drink issue we had to which the bartender had already agree to not charge again and had given us a new drink. She was the worse ever, mentioned to the bouncer as we left all the years we had been attending the place we had never felt so bad, and embarressed to take our visitors there, they also mention to the bouncer that their next visits to San Diego, they be sure they never go back, they had been there a few times in the last weeks, and had the pleasure to meet the owner. Sad that over 20 years of some what good experience would end on such sour note. Service needs to change quickly. This visit was on Thursday January 3rd, 2008. What a way to start the new year. Best of luck with your cocktail serving people.

Great local pub.
I love this pub! While Irish pubs always attract people to a new experience, Blarney has always offered new and fun experiences. I have so many memories from our drunken evenings there. The live music is great, and the staff are friendly. I seem to meet someone new every time I'm in there. The pub is relatively small, so it fills up quick, but everyone gets into the music. Good prices mixed with a great atmosphere and happy people make this place a must visit. Thursday - Saturday are the most crowded nights. Although Allison Gil is awesome on Monday nights.

The best.
I love this place. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. It's not what you'd expect from a pub in a strip mall. Unlike some of the more trendy places, parking is never an issue.
There is live music with the classic Irish drinking songs. Thursday through Saturday I reccommended that you get there early if you want to get a table otherwise you're going to have to make some new friends fast.

Editorial Review.
Guinness, Harp and Bass combine with live Celtic music at a classic Irish pub in the most unlikely place: Clairemont Mesa.
