rude right of the start. When we arrived the bartender was rude to us before we even order. I forget her full name, just remember that it started with a M, and she is very disrespectful. Lame location too, just in the business district. Don't recommend.

best beer selection. O'Brien's has one of the best beer selections in the County, if not all SoCal! If you love great beer, real beer, you'll be among friends here.

O'Brien's Pub. I am the owner of O'Brien's. I have to respond in the only way possible to the review from 9-10 by Jeff. This guy got into a fight with one of the bartenders and started swearing at her. We refunded his money and told him he had to leave. The following business day he flames our pub on 3 different sites showing what a class act he is.

I invite anyone who likes good beer to come and try O'Brien's. If, however, you intend to abuse the staff - please go somewhere else. I will never stand by someone abusing my employees. It is degrading and rude. If anyone would like more information on our place, please visit our website and see what we are all about. Cheers, Tom Nickel - owner, O'Brien's Pub

Phony English-Irish atmosphere. Surly staff.. This pub seems to be modeled after the small-town English "local", but they have got the picture wrong. Yes, those flavorful country pubs are dirty and crowded, and yes, the staff berates the regulars. But the real English version has, above all, a cheerfulness that is completely lacking in this scroungy and grim San Diego version. Have three or four beers before you arrive, if you want to enjoy it.
