I <3 Gene!!!. I discovered Gene through a friend and haven't had anyone else touch my tresses since. I came to him with raggedy, neglected hair and he fixed me up better than i expected, thank goodness (i've dealt with my share of mediocre stylists). That was... about 3 years ago more or less.. and I've been a loyal client since. I have recommended him relentlessly to my friends and family and I will do the same for you, stranger. Not only is he brilliant, he's professional, easy going and fun to talk to. I really couldnt ask for more.

Gentle Stylings. I was fortunate enough to have Gene recommended to me by a close friend! Sitting in Gene's chair is like being taken care of by a family member. His close personal attention, intelligent conversation and excellent styling recommendations make each visit thouroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend following Gene's suggestions, as his attention to detail makes other stylists pale in comparison.

Hair Guru. A friend recommended Gene to me a few years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. My hair has never felt or looked better. He keeps it simple enough for me to style at home and leaves the length I love. Thanks to Gene, I often get compliments on my hair. He's the best.

Trust is key.... Gene is so amazing!!! I trust him with my locks COMPLETELY. I don't ever have to worry about what my hair will like when he's done with me, and I don't really give him many details of what I'm looking for. When he asks me "What are we doing this time?" My reply is always, "Hmm... I don't know? My hair is your hair." And when I walk out of there, it's always with a huge smile on my face! I love him! I would recommend Gene to anyone and everyone! I do recommend making an appointment, and as the others have said in their reviews, there is plenty of parking, and a killer coffee cart that makes the best Vietnamese coffee.

If You Need COLOR Go See GENE!. I've been going to Gene for about 5 yrs my Gray or as he puts it " my mature" hair can be a challenge it's gotten more stubborn with the years. I work outside so the sun plays into it. His knowledge and experience gets it done right. The color is great. The coverage is great. I wore my hair long for 20 some years I was ready for change. He keeps current and motivated and yet listens to my needs. He can work magic with his cuts "Gene Is The BEST." I'd follow him where ever he goes

Call for an appointment!. I have been going to Gene for about four years. Before I found him, I bounced from one "stylist" to the next with little luck. I trust Gene completely. He knows what is in style, but more importantly, he knows what style will fit you. For as much as Gene talks and entertains you as you get your service, he also listens. He wants to know your likes and dislikes, and what you thought of your last cut or color. He also takes the time to find out more about your lifestyle. He tailors your cut to compliment your lifestyle. I am always rushing around in the morning and don't have a lot of time to style my hair. Gene knows this, and makes sure that any look he styles will still look good on me after I get home. He also doesn't push expensive products on people. I don't hesitate to refer anyone to Gene.

Gene is the BEST!. If you found Gene, consider yourself VERY lucky. He's the BEST around. I actually moved away and flew back to SD just to see Gene. You will love him too!!!

It's Not a Haircut...It's an Experience!. If you're a gal or guy lookin' for a quick cut & style, you can get that just about anywhere. The problem is...it'll look like you used a PennySaver coupon to get your haircut by a stylist who just graduated beauty school last week. Even though it's a great price, you usually get what you pay for...the good news is it'll grow back...eventually.

But if you're a professional who knows the value of a hair style that works in today's business world, then go see Gene. Gene is a consultant first and a stylist second. You'll be in the chair fifteen minutes engaged in a conversation with Gene about your hair, its color, texture, touch and your expectations before he puts the first comb through it. He'll give you options and recommendations about what works best for your look and then he'll listen to your preferences and choices. Then Gene begins his magic...

The result will be the best hair styling experience you've ever had sitting in a salon chair. And as good as it looks when he's finished, it'll look just as good day after day as he takes the time to show you how to maintain the look you fell in love with in his chair.

IGene has been my hair stylist for over a decade for one reason...Gene performs for your ego, not his!

Gene is amazing!!. It is impossible to fully capture my haircut experiences with Gene. I've had good haircuts before, but after one haircut with Gene I would never go anywhere else. He's been cutting my hair for months now and everytime I walk out of his salon, I am 100% satisfied with my haircut. It's not just his expertise and his years of experience that make each one of my haircuts amazing, but it's also his attention to details, his ability to match my haircut to my lifestyle and features, and his determination to make each haircut perfect. To Gene giving a haircut is not just his job, it's his passion. I highly recommend him. He's a great storyteller that will keep you entertained as you get the best hair experience ever!

Gene is the best!!. I moved back to San Diego 4 1/2 years ago and needed to find a hair stylist. With no reccomendation, I chose a hair salon near to where I was living. I was told that Gene was the best colorist and so I made an appointment. He is the best!!!!! He corrected my overbleached dried out hair to a beautiful golden blonde. I get complements on my hair all of the time. Gene is extremely talented in both cut and color and is current and up to date. He will keep you entertained in the chair and he is very attentive to your specific hair needs. I will continue to patronize his salon as long as he is in business.
