Central Plumbing? I'd look elsewhere. It cost $380 to replace 1 shorted wire in a central A/C unit in September. 3 months later I had to call another company to reattach 2 wires that had been disconnected from the heater part of the system (that wouldn't turn on). An appeal to Central Plumbing for reimbursement was met with a sternly worded denial of responsibility and "you signed on the bottom of the contract that you were satisfied" so essentially case closed, too bad. After threatening to contact the BBB, their story changed and they coughed up the cost to re-attach the 2 wires and even kicked in an extra $75 for my trouble. Great company? You decide. Why did I pay $380? It's a rental unit, there was already an $85 diagnostic fee and it had to be done. They kind of have you over a barrel. When I said in my letter that I thought the charge was exorbitant, they questioned why I didn't call to ask to have it reduced. What? Really?! Why not charge a fair price to begin with? I mentioned to my neighbor who has the same A/C heating system and he said he had all the wires replaced in his system for a little over $100. Big difference.
