“Amarin's prices are very reasonable.”
“They make the best GA PROW I've tasted in a long time.”
Best Thai food in San Diego. I'm from the San Francisco bay area and the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at are located in the heart of the city. BUT I have to admit, Amarin definitely ranks up there as the best Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at in Southern California. They make the best GA PROW I've tasted in a long time. The food here is quite authentic and very deliciously flavored. Service is good and the atmosphere is delightful. A definite 5 out of 5 stars!!!
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Very rude workers!. My boyfriend and I went to Amarin Thai last night for the first time and was treated very badly. When we arrive we waited outside for someone to seat us but nobody came out. So we thought maybe we go inside and as we walked inside one of the waiters asked how many. He asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside and so we said outside. He pointed to a table so we went to go sit down. Once we sat down a lady walked over giving us menus and told us NEXT TIME WAIT TO BE SEATED! The way she said it was so extremely RUDE AND MEAN!!!! My boyfriend and I were SHOCKED and so we decided not to eat there! We have never been there and for her to walk over and instead of saying Hello she yells at us! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK and we'll make sure NONE of our friends will!!!!!!!
Simple, long-standing Thai house a Hillcrest staple.
In Short
Hillcrest is the breeding ground for some of San Diego's best Thai nooks, and Amarin continues to earn its quaint spot, as it has since its neon lights switched on in 1993. Discover the red-wine drenched Chicken Volcano or Amarin Crater, dressed in a hollowed out pineapple with cashews. The staff is remarkably friendly, adding to Amarin's charm.
