Horrible. Typical bait and switch with an initial (verbal) estimate followed by a final invoice twice the price. They took advantage of the inexperience of the person at home for the initial estimate (we are a military family as well). DISHONEST! Take your business elsewhere.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
Don't let the easy phone number dupe you into calling these people. It's a complete waste of time and money. I called them on Sept 13 for them to order parts (evaporator, hinge, gasket, ice maker) for my refrig. I was told it would only take 5 days for the parts to arrive. I hadn't heard from them for 2.5 weeks, so I called them on Sept 30. They said the parts are in and scheduled a service call on Oct 5. When the service tech, Nathan, arrived, he didn't have all the parts I had requested to be ordered. He said the front office didn't tell him that he needed to order the parts for the evaporator. So I called the main office and the incompetent airhead who answered the phone said "Well, it's not showing up on the computer." Well, OF COURSE IT WOULDN'T SHOW UP. YOU FAILED TO ORDER IT WHEN I REQUESTED IT ALMOST A MONTH AGO!."
To top it off, the parts they HAD ordered DIDN'T COME IN EITHER! And Nathan ONLY DISCOVERED the hinge is on backorder when he was at my house. HOW DISORGANIZED IS THAT? They tell me ALL the parts are in, but their own service guy doesn't know a part is on backorder UNTIL THEY ARRIVE AT MY HOUSE?
I don't have all day waiting for these guys to show up time and time again only to find out they can't do the work. I have been without an refrigerator for almost a month now.
And to top it all off, they were late to the appointment. They had called in the morning stating they would be 15 minutes late. Well, after 1 hr 15 min later, they finally show up.
I would HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY from this company if you value your time and want your work done in a timely fashion.

Do your homework. I feel completely duped, after paying $38.05 for a part that is listed at $11.00 on Whirlpool's site. Also, paid $129.95 to install, which took all of 3 minutes.
The parts are significantly marked up and frankly the cost of the visit should have included such an easy fix. No recommendations here!!
Think twice when you use 1 800 Appliance. It's not a honest company. When you make the appointment, they do not tell you the full cost. Also, do not trust their one year warranty; they'll find all excuses to tell you that your problem is a new problem, different from the last repairment, so you have to pay a full service and repair fee.
great job. Stephan does a great job. We have always been very happy with everyone who works at Appliance Rescue, and that is why we continue to use them for our repairs.
Satisfied. Got a next day appointment at a time I could be home. The service called was waived with my repair and I get a year warranty? This is way better than Whirlpool.

Great advice. Jim was very professional and explained the problem to me and what the fix would entail. He also recommended several thing to look out for and offered suggestion of how to maximize the like of my appliance.

He fixed the stove!. Jremy was excellent and very knowledgeable of his job. My wife was excited that he fixed the stove.
