“Great Dr. - great staff”
“The price is worth the professional & loving care”
I adopted a stray kitten and took it in to Dr. Luke. She and her staff made sure I understood everything I would need to know to care for my new pet. They let me know I wouldn't have to vaccinate my cat every year that I could do a simple blood test to see if it needed vaccines after its kitten series was done. They tested him for Leukemia so I wouldn't find out after I fell in love with him that he was already infected with a disease that is incurable. They neutered him. They placed a microchip so that he could be found if he ever got outside even though I will be keeping him indoors. Turns out he does try to sneak by when I go through a door. I'm delighted with the service and care they gave to my new kitten.
What a fantastic vet hospital. The
staff was so informative and helpful. I was able to save my cat from pneumonia without spending a fortune! Dr. Luke is so caring and knowledgable. She has a true love for the animals, and obviously cares about her clients as well.
I will tell all my friends about this vet clinic, and be back often, with all of my animals. A real treasure !!
this place was amazing with my dog. He injured his foot and couldn't walk at all. (he is about 90 lbs or more) I couldn't get him into my car because he is too heavy for me. They sent two staff members out to help me load him and bring him in. Everyone was so sweet to him. They were patient with me, kind to me....all loved on my doggy and didn't leave me waiting and him in pain for hours....very prompt. They fit me in just hours after I called. In fact, the other vets that made house calls (or claimed to) wouldn't even return my calls! Its been 5 hours since I put in calls and have yet to hear anything from other vets. I will admit this place is a little pricey BUT anything in an emergency is pricey....no matter where you go. And the level of care was worth the price. It wouldn't keep me from bringing in my dog(s) again. They were so wonderful! My only complaint is them trying to sell me on a medication for fleas that I don't want....but everyone (even vets) have opinions about what you should put in your dog's body. I use natural as much as I can. Other than that...I'm sold! (and a plus...they can run an application for care credit in just 10 minutes...that helps to offset the cost! ALOT!) OH...and the vet called me personally to let me know how my dog was doing and staff offered to follow me home to help unload him!
I was referred by county for low cost spay for my dog. I liked that they gave me options that were not part of the discount spay program, and I got to pick what I wanted. the tech talked a little too fast but everything was written out. I liked the follow up phone call the next day just to see how my dog was doing. I paid a little more than the discount spay program price, but I chose to add on from the choices she gave me. Dr. Luke was great. Staff, slow down when you talk, please.
They did a great job on my dog's eye surgery, gave me a pager to make sure they could get hold of me, and made sure I knew how to take care of her when I brought her home. They even called me to see how she was doing the next day.
I have been going to Dr. Luke's office for many years, and was always happy with them. Recently when my dog got into the trash and got a chicken bone stuck in her throat, they went above and beyond to help us. They close at 7, but when I called all freaked out and panicking at a couple minutes till 7, they told me to come right in. The doctor and staff stayed very late and helped me calm down while they worked their magic and relieved my dog of the chicken bone. They didn't make me feel bad because she got in the trash in the first place, but reassured me and gave me some tips on how to keep it from happening again. They were there for us when we needed them, even though they could have sent me to the ER where we would have paid double or triple the cost. I was a regular before, but now I'm a huge fan of Dr Luke and her staff.
Dr. Luke saved my cat's life. CatNabbit
is my son's first pet, and he was heartbroken when she was so sick - it turned out she had eaten something she shouldn't have and had to have surgery to remove a piece of a plastic Buzz Lightyear toy. Dr. Luke's direct nature helped me separate from my emotional distress and make a good decision for my pet and my family. Her staff helped me apply for the Care Credit that let us afford the surgery. Now CatNabbit is recovering and my son does a better job picking up his toys.
CatNabbit is a member of our family, and I am so grateful to Dr. Luke for saving her life!
I have been taking my cats and dog to Dr Luke for years and would like to set the record straight. Dr Luke is the best vet I have ever known. Every time I bring my animals to her she is able to offer a solution that not only makes my pet feel better but also works. For example. I have a chocolate point Siamese cat. She is around five and a half years old. For the first three years of her life she was plagued by ulcers on her face. I took her to four vets all of which said there is nothing we can do except give her massive doses of steroids when she has a flare. These shots were horrible for my cat and made her gain weight and become lethargic. I took her to Dr Luke and she ran some tests and low and behold my cat is allergic to everything. So we started allergy shots and now my cat is happy healthy and has not had a steroid injection in a year. Our other cat was a gift from Dr Luke. She saved this kitten who was basically abandoned in her office put him on life support and brought him back literally from the dead. When he was big enough (barely a couple pounds) she called my husband and I asking if we would be interested in a kitten. We fell in love and brought him home and he is a joy. Dr Luke didn't charge us for the kitten in fact his first couple of check ups were free. This office is not money hungry or greedy. Health care, especially quality healthcare, is expensive. I am a nurse and the true cost of spending one night on my unit is 5 grand. Not including medications, doctors fees, tests and otherwise. One option to make care more affordable is pet insurance . Basically, if you want vet whose goal is to bring your pets health to an optimal level Dr Luke is the best. If she was an MD I would go to her.
Dr. Luke and her staff are the BEST! I
have read reviews saying they are expensive, but I feel like the prices are totally reasonable because the staff is so thorough and caring. I have a pug who could not walk and our previous vet didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Dr. Luke got us in that same hour and fixed my little pug right up.
We also have a cat who had been peeing in all the wrong places for years. We tried so many vets and medications- Dr. Luke was our last hope. Once again she worked her magic and properly diagnosed our stressed out kitty, put her on the appropriate drugs and once again- problem solved.
Dr. Luke runs appropriate tests on the FIRST visit as opposed to so many vets who play guessing games while your animal is still not quite right. Dr. Luke and her staff are caring and knowledgeable and we are so happy we found them!
Love Dr Luke, she is absolutely wonderful with people and pets, just a very, very nice woman that is definitely in the right career. In addition, she is willing to spend some time on pets that have unusual problems. She did some research, and gave me some holistic options for my cat with chronic mouth problems. Cost is a bit less than my vet in Scripps Ranch too.
