Never take your pets here. I took my dog here for a basic neutering and he ended up with a LARGE absess in the area within 5 days. I took him back immediately and they operated again putting a drainage tube in. Less than 2 days after this procedure he had tissue dying from the inside out that left a quarter plus size whole and you could see his internal parts. Now I have taken him to a vet I trust and it is costing me $2000and a four day hospitalization. This dog is like a child to me and they butchered him.

Great Experience!. I was looking for an inexpensive option for getting my purebred dog spayed. The local vet quoted me an eye popping $600, so I checked with the Humane Society and got the info for this clinic. When I called the clinic to get details, the staff was clear, kind and I didn't have to go on a waiting list for a few months as the Humane Society warned me I might. I wound up paying only $140 and they didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. The low cost for spaying wasn't a coupon or deal, it's just what they charge normally. The doctor was kind and good with my dog as were all the staff. The office hours are good too. The operation went without a hitch and they told me to call with any questions. When I did call they were very helpful. When my dog was stung by a scorpion a few weeks later and had to go to Emergency, I told the Emergency Clinic that Mira Mesa was my main vet so far. They sent their files to Mira Mesa electronically so they would have them for future info and Dr. Anakwenzie called me herself that same day to check on the dog. Wow! Though the office isn't posh and pretty like some other local vets, the location is good for me and the business seems clean and well run. I have decided to make Dr. Anakwenzie and the Mira Mesa Clinic our vet.
