Best Body Shop In San Diego by Far!

My sons new car a 2008 Suzuki SX4 Sport Sedan was involved in what at first glance appeared to be a minor fender bender on an I-15 on ramp. A young gal in a Honda decided to play fast and furious while applying makeup and her car stuffed his in the rear end pushing him into the car ahead of him causing an accordian effect (body damage front and rear).

He gathered an estimate from a body shop reccomended by the insurance company. They put the damage at $2700. I was out of town and asked him to wait until I returned as I co-signed for the loan and had some less than positive experiences in the past when the insurance company dictated the shop to be used for repairs.

Being new to the area I had no one to turn to for a referral. An inquiry from the local dealer turned up two suggestions (one the shop they used exclusively). When I interviewed these shops I walked away unimpressed as they both had messy cluttered work spaces and guys standing around not working. The first would not guarantee OEM (original equiptment manufacturer) parts would be used. The second could not give me a sastifactory window for completion. (I needed the car back no later than two weeks from drop off)

An internet search turned up United Auto Body on Miramar Road and what really appealed to me were ALL the positive reviews and a couple of not so enthusiastic ones. What was interesting was that the ones with unhappy customers were not dismissed but rather addressed and their complaints handled sincerely with an eye towards resolution.

After speaking with Grace an appointment was set and we dropped the car off. We were amazed at the all the photos that covered the walls showing so many cars and so many excellent repairs. Not only that but Mark (the owner) introduced himself and told me I could contact him with any questions or concerns at any time.

After disassembling the vehicle their crew found additional repairs would be required (I was made aware of this posibility when we first spoke) but I did not have to concern myself with it as United took care of all the interaction with the insurance company including working with their adjuster(s) to adress an additional $2200 worth of repairs not included in the original (different body shop) estimate.

In conclusion Suzi (that's the cars name) looks as good as new! I will always recommend United Auto Body and only them to anyone that needs auto body repair services. Thank you folks for the AWESOME service!!

Rotors Replaced

I went in for brake pad replacement and they found that I needed to replace the rotors. I believe the previous place I got my brakes done might have screwed them up.

Had to come in for 2 separate visits due to ordering of the rotors. 2nd time didn't charge me tax or labor which was awesome. Yeah rotors range about 30-60$ each on the internet. But nice people.

The only Body and Paint shop I will ever need!

Had a great experience here. They encouraged and then helped me fight the "other guys" insurance company and get fully reimbursed for my damages. Also, fought (and won) to use new, not refurbished, parts. This fight did cause serious delays (only a small portion of which was compensated by insurance company) in getting the car back, but I was able to deal with that, so not a problem for me. The entire staff was friendly and always promptly returned calls. They were transparent, providing documentation and paperwork for everything. This is the only place I will go in the future and will recommend it to everyone.

Thanks everybody at United Auto Body for great service. My truck was beat to hell after a wreck and fighting the insurance companies had me stressed out of my mind. The best decision I ever made was taking my truck to UAB, they fixed it up better than new and took over dealing with the insurance companies giving me excellent advice along the way to make sure things went the way I wanted with my truck.

If you've been in a wreck and need help dealing with the insurance companies and want your life back to normal I highly recommend this shop. Thanks again Mark, Grace, and Jason!

First off, Thanks again Mark, Grace and everyone else at United Auto Body. I learned a great deal about auto insurance companies and how they work. Simply put... Be aware of any shop the insurance company tries to send you to! 99% of the time those shops have back door contracts with the insurance company's. They'll cut every corner possible to get you in and out. The cheaper those shops can do it the more work the insurance co. feeds them. In most cases you have the "right to choose" a shop to repair your vehicle. United Auto Body totally impressed me with the care, detail and quality they provide. Again, Thanks Mark..... PS Invadertim3 Read all of the other reviews... you and your brother have some issues!! Sad that anyone has to ever deal with someone such as yourself.
