MOST HONEST REVIEW. Artifex has earned a reputation for being the spot to play Magic. It has some of the best players in So Cal, definitely in San Diego. Although these players can be a little intimidating, they are not retarded just because they are adults and play Magic the Gathering. C'mon, get real........these are people, usually more than half are in the military, playing card games. That's definitely not a retarded act, such as the previous review!!!! When I shop at Artifex, it's usually clean, the employees are okay, not rude, and they are helpful, although sometimes you have to get their attention because the store is busy. Busy is a good thing, it means Artifex is doing something right in this crappy economy. The store is also really busy on Sats because of it's tournaments, and it attracts lots of kids and adults. New comic days are well stocked, I've never gone in and found any of my pull missing or damaged. This store is nice to go to because it's family friendly, and the employees and owners go the extra step if you have any trouble finding anything!
