This Service Station is a really good one..
I feel so fortunate to have found this place. I am new to the area, and it is so hard to find a good honest, reliable service station, where you know that you can always take your car, no matter what is wrong with it, and they will bust their buns to find out what is wrong and get it fixed and you and your car back on the road as quickly as possible.
Last time I was in, mine was done while I waited.
The only negative review that this place is likely to ever get is one that was posted in here, when the person who posted it, got their service stations mixed up and ment the review for another place.
There is NO car wash at this place, so it would be nice if the person who posted in here by mistake would check, realize their mistake and then remove the review that then intended for another Shell Station and not this one.

FANTASTIC SERVICE!! Negative post is for wrong station.
This serivce station is one of the best in San Diego in my opinion.
We get all of our car repairs and service done by them, and a nicer, more honest and professional bunch of mechanics could not be found.
We would never even consider taking our cars anywhere else.
The person who post the Negative review, talks abougt being "angry about how the Service Station did the detailing on his car after they had washed it in their car wash."
This Shell Station is a smaller one, and has NO car wash!!
A shame that someone got angry and did a bunch of nasty negative posts about a business, and didn't take the time to be sure that they were posting against the correct Service Station.
Hope that my Postive Review helps to set people straight about this place.
It's a great place, with great people.
You'll be happy you took your car there.

Carmel Valley Shell on 5 Freeway. Carmel Valley Shell on the 5 Freeway next to the Taco Bell gave me fantastic mechanic service. My car broke down with a bum radiator and I was already running late. The service center ordered my part that arrived promptly and began to install it. There was a nice bench next to the work bays with an umbrella and I gratefully sat in the shade with my laptop and used their free Wi-Fi. The service was completed in a short amount of time, the cost for the parts and labor was very reasonable, and I am definitely going to be a return customer. I also noticed they have clean bathrooms, propane, and easy access to the 5 freeway. I just read the previous blog and noticed that the guy was writing about the wrong Shell Station. He was referring to the one off the 56 Freeway over by the Vons shopping center. Anyways, Thank You Carmel Valley Shell!!!

Scary Dangerous Place! Beware for your safety and for your car!!. I have been to many gas station/car wash locations throughout the country and can honestly say that I have never experienced such a disgraceful unethical group that manage the car wash section of this station. Most of the reviews on this station mention the up sell attempts made by the staff. This is typical of most places-no shock there. What is disgraceful is that a $12.95 carwash will provide the same quality as a $100 detail job. I was just in for a complete detail that I negotiated down and came to discover that the services agreed upon were not completed. I approached the manager and addressed the issues we had agreed upon that had not been completed and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong and he never agreed to any of the services. Paying $100 I told him that he needed to complete the work promised. Now I know that the economy is in real trouble; however this is the really shocking part-I was told to keep my mouth shut and get thehell out before something bad happened to my car. I had paid in cash so decided to move on before something was done to me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you DO NOT use the car wash. I have never encountered a threat against me while receiving a car wash and I have lived in Washington DC, NY City, Detroit, and a few other rough locations. I believe they might be hiring former criminals there-I saw a few criminal tattoos. You might like to go to another place before you or your car is in danger.
