California pizza for NY'ers. I stumbled onto this place by accident one night after Comic Con. My group was hungry and Joe's was still new, so there wasn't much of a line....and to this day it is easy to get a table relatively quickly. Their ingredients are either fresh or they're good at faking freshness, either way - great dough and sauce in particular. The staff is always courteous and the kitchen staff are great. Example, on more than one occasion the head cook for the night or even the owner stopped by the table to make sure everything was up to standard...again, not a one time only thing. Their beer selection is rather limited and the drink prices are what you'd expect for gas lamp. Probably my favorite place in town to get pizza, and as a NY'er for most of my life, that is a big compliment.

We waited over 35 minutes for our food...which we never got. So we were in San Diego this weeked and decided to go to Slopy joes. The restaurant looks cute and noticed they have a Best Of Citysearch, so decided to try it out.

We waited over 35 minutes for our food, until we decided to walk out. We didnt want to leave with out paying for our drinks, and still we had to wait to see if we had to pay.
