Normal Heights neighborhood Vietnamese take-out joint.
Jammed into a small, narrow space on crowded Adams Ave, Tao brings a menu of traditional Vietnamese and Japanese food (no sushi here) to an already eclectic foodie neighborhood in Normal Heights. With just ten tables in the square dining room, tile floors, and silk plants as accents, the space feels casual and traditional. the menu offers a wide selection of vegetarian options (their famous stir fired vegetable plate is among the most popular) as well as traditional dishes like mango chicken with plenty of spice and several ramen variations. Owners say about half their business comes from take-out, and they will soon offer beer and wine and local delivery.
