folks, check this out, awesome place to have the best tandoori chicken in town. I am a devote chicktarian, meaning no red meat for me. BKC has enough chicken items to make me go there often. another great item is the chicken tikka with the house green chutney. It would go well with a bottle of beer, but sorry folks they don't allow alcohol on premises. but you can take it home and enjoy! cheers!!!

OMG!! where do i start from..i was visiting a friend in san diego from michigan and asked if there were any good indian restaurants. He said we could try Bismillah. He did not sound that good though. We went down for dinner and the place was pretty crowded and we thought that it would be a long wait for the food. We looked down the menu and ordered a chicken hundi, kashmiri kebab and chicken biryani with a couple of naan. To our surprise, the food was ready in 10-12 minutes. The aroma of the dishes said it all. It was exquisite and the taste was equally awesome. The waiters were so friendly and so nice to us that it added to experience. The naans were suppperr and the chicken hundi was awesome. Coming to the biryani...the best i have had in the US. Hats off to the food that was made and the service offered. When we asked for the bill, it was pretty reasonable for the excellent food and service. I would recommend everybody who wants to try out some indian and pakistani food to hit this place for sure or u r missing out on the best indian food served in the US

Staff was very friendly, clean environment and above all the food was beyond my expectation....GREAT FOOD I MUST SAY.I really liked their kashmiri chicken tikka masala....this is going to be my only stop in future for indian food for sure!

Me and my wife went to BKC on a week night for the very first time and we had an excellent dining experience. To get things going, we ordered the Hot-n-Sour soup for 2, and when the soup arrived, it was in a bowl that could feed 4 instead of 2. Needless to say, I inhaled the entire bowl because it was so hungry and the soup was very delectable.

I love chinese food, so naturally I ended up ordering the Mongolian Beef that came with a bowl full of rice and my wife went with Lamb Kadai and Naan. I was ecstatic when our plates arrived with huge appetizing portions. Both meat dishes were mouth-watering, irresistible and notably tasteful. The real treat for me was the zabihah halal meat which was so tender and juicy, prepared with the right balance and blend of spices.

I would highly recommend this place if you're into Indian-Pakistani-Chinese cuisines. The restaurant is under new ownership and the owner is very friendly, courteous, and caring about his customers. Next time, I want to hit the buffet and Tandoori Chicken.

Very nice restaurant with delicious food. We were visting from Texas and ate at this restaurant twice......excellent food with fresh naan and great service.....definitely eating here again when visiting southern california.

It took roughly 20 minutes for our food to arrive, we ordered Lamb Karahi, Bismillah Special, Chicken Tikka Masala & tandoor platter. tandoor platter was as good as Shlimar (bay area), Lamb Karahi was the best we had, even better than Shalimar or Kabob and Curry. Chicken Tikka masal was average. Overall tasty food. Considering cost of living I was bothered by 15-20% higher prices. Given the aromatic food Bismillah served I did not even think about the price, in fcat I ended up giving $10 tip to server. I am told They have Islamic Chinese on Thu-Sun eveining. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely try chinese.

Absolutely amazing food, clean restaurant, good service. I've eaten there 4 times and never have I been disappointed. I've tried many different dishes, and loved every single one. My absolute favorite is all their delicious chinese dishes. I highly recommend the restaurant to all my family, friends, and everyone reading this review. There is no other Halal Indian Pakistani restaurant that I like in San Diego better. Mucho Delicioso!
