Exemplary Veterinary Care!

Tips for Governor Animal Clinic

5.0
September 16, 2011

Terrific Vetnerinary care for our kitties. Our personal experience with Governor Animal Clinic's staff, from the Front Office, the Vet Techs, to the Veterinarians (for us primarily Doctors Sorenson and Feinberg) leads me to believe these must be the sweetest, most competent people you'll ever meet. My husband's brother-in-law, a Veterinarian in a near-by county, has spoken highly of this clinic's reputation. It is a great thing to have eleven years' worth of positive experiences to share, so it is my delight to highly recommend Governor Animal Clinic (GAC) to any cat or dog "parent" out there.

For the past eleven years, Doctors Sorenson and Feinstein have provided our kitties with stellar medical care. Both doctors are tremendously skilled, caring, and genuine. They are great communicators and are very patient with questions and concerns. Dr. Sorenson has such a peaceful confident way of handling our cats she calms them down immediately. Her warm sense of humor and easy conversational style are always appreciated. Ever respectful of our budget, over the years she has only recommended products or services our cats have truly required. Dr. Feinstein is terrific also. A few years back a concern popped up which he researched diligently. Thanks to his efforts a simple solution was found and the issue quickly resolved. I feel comfortable knowing my kitties are in the very best hands.

When I first moved to Clairemont/UTC I did some research to learn who the best Veterinarians in the area were. After talking with a lot of responsible pet owners, it seemed unanimous that GAC was THE place to bring our happy, healthy five-year-old Yoda kitty and that Dr. Sorenson was a highly recommended Veterinarian for cats along with Dr. Feinberg. After enjoying years of great health (via regular wellness exams) Yoda is now sixteen years old. About a year and a half ago she was diagnosed with bladder stones and Chronic Renal Failure (CRF), common conditions in older cats. Dr. Sorenson performed a successful surgery to remove the bladder stones and has been coaching me through the saddening diagnosis of CRF. I see the Vet Techs and Front Office staff on a regular basis now and have come to appreciate them more than ever. They are always professional, friendly and empathetic not only to us, but to other pets and pet "parents" as well. Despite her medical condition, Yoda is still happy, cuddly and energetic. Evidence that so far, she is doing very well.

About ten years ago, we adopted a second kitty, Obi, not realizing at the time she had been born with a cleft palate (not visible on her face, but on the inside of her mouth along the mid-upper roof ). My husband's brother-in-law, the aforementioned Veterinarian, happened to see Obi first, at which time he made the surprising diagnosis. Obi and I then payed a visit to Dr. Sorenson who recommended she be seen by a surgeon at a local animal hospital. Thankfully the surgery was a great success, however Obi required a LOT of home care before the surgery as well as after. Associated with her cleft palate repair, she has had continued sinus issues. During those initial months prior to, and after Obi's surgery, Dr. Sorenson offered sound medical care, nutritional guidance and emotional support. In these subsequent years, Doctors Sorenson and Feinberg have taken good care of Obi's sinuses and general health. They have always offered excellent care in a way that has fit within our budget, allowing us to give Obi the healthy, playful, happy life she deserves and enjoys.

For the most part our cats have been healthy. I share details here simply to illustrate the fact that GAC is more than capable of handling difficult medical challenges a pet may face. In other words, GAC truly is THE place to bring the fur people in your family.
