A fresh, seasonal menu, remodeled dining room and those only-at-The-Del views bring fine dining back to the island..
In Short
Walking up the famed waterfront path to the patio entrance, it's easy to picture The Del's back-in-the-day regulars like Marilyn Monroe or Ronald Reagan inside on the wing chairs sipping martinis. But certain touches like cloth cabana seating, potted palms and wooden shutters take just enough old-fashioned edge off the dining room, keeping it beachy and breezy. The fresh new menu is focused largely on flavors and seafood from the Southern California and Baja regions.
fancy schmancy. expensive, but amazing food. we had this great austrailian waiter, wish i could remember his name. it's about time the del got a nice restauarnt again. now they just need to give those rooms a makeover, and it might just start attracting celebrities and heads of state again.
