“I will say that for the most part no
issues with this company. They waived some charges (specifically long carry) at pick up, delivered in a speedy manner and were pretty easy going to deal with over the phone and throughout the whole process of the move.
I will say however that my TV mysteriously showed up damaged in my new home. This was a huge deal to me so I emailed Adam right away. He immediately called me to discuss the matter. He explained that the TV was not packed the recommended way for shipping, to avoid additional packing charges. However he did explain that he will do what he can to meet in the middle on the issue. He explained he cannot pay the cost of a few thousand dollars of the cost of the TV, and I understood that I would only get 60 cents per pd which although is the amount obliged by law to receive from a mover, it is s a joke. Adam did tell me to get an estimate for the cost of repair and if it was reasonable , he would cover it. I did so and he has agreed to pay the amount of a few hundred dollars for the repair.
While I was disappointed in the fact that there was a damage., I was very impressed in how this company dealt with the issue . They really stood up for the customer , and offered a pretty fair compromise , especially given the fact that I had a minimum load size and therefore the minimum cost they charge. “
Moving your household stuffs is a
haunting task. But Diamond Van lines made this very easy for me.
I needed to relocate in a weeks’ time to NJ from CA and was confused with hundreds of phone calls for the binding codes. Adams personal visit to provide us with the updates provided me with a relief. He explained everything to me so I didn't mind paying to someone you have met personally. There were no surprises during the pickup , route and delivery. Overall was a great experience and would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.
A definite yes....
Due to economic reasons and job loss I needed to move last minute back to ATL. I have never used a moving company but heard about all the bad things that can happen. Adam came out did an on site estimate. He was very professionally and gave me a great price, they were very flexible on the move date which helped out tremendously. Other companies were bad mouthing this company when I told them I had found a mover, but as far as the move goes, I was completely satisfied! Price, delivery time, and no last minute price change. I would recommend Diamond Van Line to any one who needs a mover!
Worst experience ever! Drivers were late, they charged me more then quoted, horrible customer service, wouldnt give me update on shipment, continued to make excuses as to why my shipment was delayed, missing large items (Not sure how that is even possible), items were handles poorly and I had a bunch of stuff broken, they went through my boxes, and shipment was late. Not one good thing about this company. Would never reccomend to anyone.
I used Diamond Van Lines with my move to Moorestown NJ. I had a very good experience with this company as their prices were competitive and service pretty stellar. I am giving it three stars because the sales team was very persistent and this kind of annoyed me, but would overall use again and recommend.
For our move to San Antonio, Texas from
San Diego, we contracted with Diamond Van Line. We were initially given an estimate of $3300 which on moving day was increased to $4500 (later negotiated down to $4100). This was despite the fact that we had less furniture to be moved than was initially estimated (we had sold a corner sofa and bedroom set between the time we received our estimate and the time of the actual move.) When the furniture was delivered, and additional $300 was demanded to move the furniture to the third floor apartment we lived in. After talking with Adam (the owner), by telephone, he agreed to waive the fees and said he would be hiring a couple more movers to assist in getting our furniture and belongings inside the apartment. The two "movers" they hired were temp workers and not professional movers. After they arrived, Diamond Van Line's delivery team drove off, leaving all of our belongings in the parking lot. The temp workers, realizing they were not going to be paid, stated that they were going to leave as well, but I persuaded them to stay by paying them myself. The furniture was moved in, at expense to myself, and I ended up having to assemble the furniture myself (which Diamond Van Line was supposed to do). Additionally, several items were broken, a few missing, and a piece to my desk was also missing, requiring me to get rid of it (as it could not be assembled without that piece) and buy a new one.
We attempted to settle this with Diamond Van Line, and agreed to a $300 refund, but they wanted a signed release stating that I would "not file any complaint or publish any negative information... to the Better Business Bureau, U.S. Department of Transportation, The American Moving and Storage Association or any website..." They wanted it signed in advance of payment, and I could not do that, considering my experience with them.
I used Diamond Van Line to move to Austin, Texas and had a great experience. It's a great business, Adam is a great guy and workers were professional. I had no issues with move and would definitely recommend.
I used Diamond Van Line on a move from LA to the Philideliphia area and they did a great job. I was getting nervous because the truck was almost 2 hours late on moving day. I got a call from the movers and he explained that it was “peak” time in early June, so this happens sometimes. I didn’t really care bc they brought an extra mover with them to make up for that. If you are looking for a mover, I would recommend these guys if you are looking for a mover, every thing over all went very smoothly. Thanks guys.
I recently used Diamond Van Line on my move from Orange County, CA to Upstate NY. I dealt with Danielle from the office who was a pleasure to work with. She was the initial and only point of contact and she never was pushy about getting the business unlike the other companies who contacted me and hounded me. She always had answers to my many questions, even while my delivery was on it's way. She also kept her cool when I thought I was being a little annoying and overbearing. Everything arrived safe and sound. The move was overall stressfree and this is definitely a first given previous moves I've made. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family!
Do Not Use.
These guys are from a growing breed of mover/predators, they come to the job late, fill up half of the truck and then extort you by trying to jack the price to finish the job. Do your due diligence by typing in moving scam in google and look for info from SD City Attorney.
