Con Artists. I took my vehicle in for all new tires. They talked me into getting an alignment, which was fine, I did need that. Also I needed an oil change. I waited as they worked on my vehicle. Then the guy that helped me, came out and told me that I needed new brakes and the rotors needed turned. They wanted an additonal over $400 do to this, and they could have it done in 90 minutes. Also I was getting a discount off of the price quoted to me.

I thought about it and decided to not have the breaks done, as the price was rediculously high. When I turned down the service he said it was fine and the quote with the discount would be in the system. So a few days later I took my vehicle to my mechanic that I trust...Mad Max Auto in Lakeside. Max called me and asked me if I was having problems with my breaks, and I said no, but Evans told me that I need new breaks and rotors turned. He said that they had lied to me and that my breaks were fine and I had AT LEAST 50% on my rotors. However, had I needed all the work done that I was told I needed, Max would have charged me at least half of what Evans quoted.

I did call Evans and let the guy who answered know that they are ripping people off and that was wrong. He said he would tell his guys. Bottom line is DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. They are rip offs just trying to make a buck.

Sometimes spending a few extra bucks will save you tons.

bad business. I recently purchased a set of bridgestone tires from evans tire in el cajon. Today was a rainy day and i was driving along the freeway when my began to fish tail violently. I got out to see what was wrong and found the tires were completly bald. I took the vehicle back to evans where they basicaly told me to go fly a kite. For two months my car had been acumulating a fine black powder and i couldnt figure out where it was coming from . I figured it was new road construction i pass through every day on the way to work. Turns out it was my rear tires disintigrating. Evans tire put me back in my car nknowing it was dangerouse to drive, even after i told them i drive with my 10 month old son every day. 5000 miles 700.00 dolllars thank evans tire. I have 19 years experience as an automotive technician and believe me when i say steer clear of Evans tire. Thanks Evans and thank you Bridgstone.

BAIT AND SWITCH. Here's why:

1. Got a sale price quote online at their website, and left my phone number;

2. Brody from National City store called me and confirmed price and appointment to get tires installed;

3. When I got to store, was told I needed to purchase lifetime plan for tires @ $80 more to get the sale price. The $80 additional dollars would make the overall price more than competing stores - some sale!

When I mentioned that Brody the salesperson confirmed the sale price over the phone and that he didn't state any additional terms, I was basically told take it or leave it. Plus, the sales pitch is out of control on alignment, service plan (on tires!!!), etc. AVOID THESE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE! Don't even waste your time looking on their website. Should've just stuck with Costco, like in the past - at least they're upfront with their price and there's no BS, no wasting time, and no rude a-holes.

Best Tire Company in San Diego. After weeks of searching for the best price for tires my husband and I were recommended to Evan's tire in

El Cajon.Bill (the manager) not only gave us the lowest price compared to COSTCO & DISCOUNT TIRE, he also was very friendly and super helpful. Talking to Bill for only 5 minutes we not only felt like we had known him forever we felt comfortable leaving our trucks with him knowing that they would be taken care of. We will recommend Evan's Tire to ALL of our family and friends and we won't ever go anywhere else. To quote Bill It was like a "fine dining" experience. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place.
