Torrey Pines is open every day (365), 8am to sunset. There is a parking fee for any car entering Torrey Pines State Reserve: $8, senior $7, disabled $4. The reserve covers 2000 acres of land with chaparral plants and the rare and elegant Torrey Pine trees. Pinus torreyana once covered a larger area but now grows only here and on Santa Rosa Island off the coast near Santa Barbara. There are 8 miles of trails and a visitor center. On the weekends and holidays you can catch a guided nature walk. Plan a visit for a few hours to enjoy both the beauty and opportunity to relax.
