Ok- If you want not just a massage, but an experience; then you have to go to Holistic Hands. Recently I went in on a quiet Tuesday afternoon and had an amazing experience I will not soon forget. The staff are very friendly and personal and they don't have a "spa" attitude of quick hellos and rush you along. They take their time during your intake and ask very interesting questions that can help assist them in getting my needs met. I was very impressed with the way my therapist intuitively guided me into my session by turning down the lights to a blue hue, setting some music of ocean waves and tranquil sounds, then even sprayed the air with lavender to saturate my mind to calm down. I was needing deep work to the shoulders and neck and just wanted to zone out! My therapist made a tasty aromatherapy blend and she got busy. I could feel myself drifting in and out of the special place and then I found myself wanting to ask questions about her talents, why she started her business, and how she knew where those tight spots were. It was like I was talking to a spirit of wisdom and peace and she answered my questions with questions only to let me express thoughts, dreams, and visions about my life and future. I could feel myself release even more tension. I was surprised that they offered me a FREE 15 minutes far infrared sauna session after my massage. I had already been given so much, I felt to take more was almost sinful, but I did take them up on it! WOW- what a great sauna they have. It is a private room with a cd player, pitcher of water, and bowl of washclothes to wash off with. I felt like a detoxing queen!! I got a robe and a pair of slippers and my favorite people magazine to read. I was at Holistic Hands for a total of 90 minutes and the effects were life changing. I take the time to write this review because I want you to experience this place of healing and total acceptance. They are good people and I feel they really care.
Pros: Affordable, far infrared sauna, shower, ambience
Cons: parking can get tough
