Awesome!!!

My friends and I went to see Claude VonStroke a while back, and had a blast. Im not much of a drinker, but when I did go to the bar for a drink, It was kinda pricey but it was was stiff! In the long run id say you get your moneys worth. I have been back a few times since, my advice to you there early, parking is easier, shorter lines....
oh yeah, BOMB SUSHI!!!
- Pros: Best Music, Biggest sound system, 5 Rooms of music!
- Cons: Drinks are pricey but not watered down like other places
On Broadway is still a great place to go out

Some reviewers had a bad experience, but I go to Broadway at least once a month and have had great service every time. The staff are much nicer and friendlier than most places in San Diego. Other clubs still have that "you're not good enough" sneer if you're not rolling up in a Limo with a harem of call girls on your arm. The bouncers at Broadway are much nicer than anywhere else, and except for some salty old dinosaur bartenders most of the bar staff and cocktailers are down to earth, and some are smokin' hot!!!
- Pros: The Best DJs, many different rooms, down to earth staff
- Cons: Parking is a pain, Lines can be long
I agree, past it's prime...(But it may have changed?)

This place was cool awhile back until the "Rift Raft" arrived.
Some nights might have a special promotions night (I am being nice here)
So check and ask how the crowd is before you go!
Good atmosphere, TERRIBLE service.

I don't about everyone else who had good time here, but our group had a horrible experience at this place. We heard many good things about this place and was excited to try it out while we were in town for 4th of July weekend.
The Good: Good atmosphere, good music, nice divided rooms for each style
The BAD: We arrived at the Club/Restaurant at 9PM so we can enjoy nice meal before hitting the clubs. The waitress came by to order our drinks promptly and that was the last time we saw her until hour later when we started to complain about our service. Our food didn't arrive until 10 while the table next to us (with different server) was served and was out at the dance floor already. We had to go get our own drinks at the bar because the waitress was no where to be seen . When we were at the bar, the bartender did not know how to make the drinks that was on the menu!!! We wasted 2 hours there spending alot of money on cold food and crappy service. At that point, all i wanted to do was leave and go somewhere else to salvage the evening. The manager did give us half off everything so we tried to pay and leave but it took them another 20 minutes for them to figure out how to run a credit card. I don't think i will EVER go there again
- Pros: Good atmosphere, good music, nice divided rooms for each style
- Cons: BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD Service
Past it's prime

This place WAS cool a long time ago. Now with so many really cool places downtown, On Broadway just seems like it tries to hard. Too crowded, too many young immature partiers, too snobby of door people. I'd much rather go to Belo, Confidential, JBar if I wanted a trendy cool nightclub experience. Even the W is better.
- Pros: lots of different djs and rooms
- Cons: too crowded, past it's prime, just average
Nice place

Very trendy. Very upscale. The line was pretty long, but we had a good time once we got inside. One of teh better party spots in the Gaslamp.
Best Nightclub in San Diego

Super Trendy! Love this place, always a good time. They have various different rooms that all play different music, so everybody can listen to what they want. Also a great place to go get dinner (the sushi is great!) before you go out.
I would DEFINITELY advise contacting a promoter to get on a guestlist before going, because the lines would NOT be fun to wait in, but it's definitely my favorite place in SD!
- Pros: Music, Great Dance Floor, Ambiance
- Cons: Drink Prices, Lines
On Broadway For an Upscale Amzing Night!
by rdfusn at Citysearch
Right in the mix of the downtown scene, this is a must visit night club. Filled with beautiful people, this large 5 room venue has something for everyone. From DJ's spinning a wide variety of music, live decor, different bars, lounge area, and a suhi bar, you will be entertained all night. Cover can be a little pricy and the lines can be long at times, but that's what you deal with with any place that's hot!
- Pros: Variety, Upscale
- Cons: Parking, Lines
What once was one of the largest banks in San Diego is now the crown jewel of Gaslamp nightclubs.

In Short
The lines can be long, and filled with attitude--OBEC is a place to be seen, and few fashion-concious and trendy clubbers like to be seen standing outside. Once inside, the venue offers a sensational spectrum of DJs and dance options, from an array of house music to R&B, hip-hop, rock and retro. It's five rooms under one roof, from the main dance floor upstairs, to the intimate, posh confines of the downstairs Vault and Ultra Lounge.
Several Clubs Under 1 Roof

Awesome concept to have something for everyone. Fro Hip-hop to 80's Rock there are at least four 'clubs within the club'. Not the cheapest meat market in town, but definately the place on Fri or Sat nights.
- Pros: Diverse, Upscale, Huge
- Cons: Cover, Crowded
