I was reluctant to take my 2 year old to this establishment because of all of the negative reviews. I went, though, because a girlfriend of mine loves the place and I wanted to check it out. My observations were these: yes, the toys are dirty. They could wash them and it would definitely improve my comfort level as my son was waiting. The receptionist was not Mary Poppins, but she was pleasant. Charlene cut my sons hair and she did a fantastic job. She worked quickly because you have to when most of your clients are crying and unhappy. She was soothing to my son, who was whining about having the drape on. She gave us a first haircut certificate and saved his hair for us without being asked. For $14, I can't imagine a better deal. The place is clean, if old, but it doesn't seem run down. In all, the experience was good for my son and it was not stressful for me. I say give them a chance and form your own opinions.

Horrible

I was extremely upset by this place. I recently took my three year old into there for a hair cut and they shaved a bald spot into his hair right before our Christmas picture! When it happened I was extremely upset and the hair stylist kept insisting that she could fix it and only made it worse. Then I wasn't comp for the hair cut that was a mess, they said it was against policy. I was livid. So now our family Christmas picture is ridiculous, my son is now afraid of the hair salon, and I"m out fifteen dollars. This place is horrible!
