After the original review (#1), when Dayspring took over Chidrens Club in El Cajon I was a little concerned if not dismayed. But after seeing the Dayspring Center in action I was very much satisfied. I was taken aback by their discipline not only with my child but with the group as a whole. Trust me... after looking at their previous home off Magnolia and Park in El Cajon... I was a little taken back. I am a safety junkie, and I saw there were no safety precautions taken. Almost as if a chid could be had over a 4' fence. But I knew the Chidren's Club Center would be a safe environment for my child. When Dayspring took over in that particular location off of Greenfield, they not only met my expectations.. but exceeded them. I am not sure because of cost I can keep my child beyond his kidnegarten days... but for pre-school, I am more than grateful. One of the biggest issues to me is staffing. The director Kelly Wade has been the Director of Dayspring for over 5 years with Dayspring. That in itself is a great accomplishment. Maybe in days when review #1 was taking place, cetainly that may have been an issue. But if you are looking for a person who has "long term" continutity with your child, please.... look how long a director stays with your daycare provider. Kelly is in this for the long haul. Also, after seeing the recent parental/child events (based solely on children just having fun), I am sold, and I would definetely put my next child in their care. I love this place. Plus... I am not the only parent from Children's Club (which was a good outfit) who thinks this way.
Pros: Class size and safety at Greenfield location
Cons: parking

Dayspring Christian Learning Center is the perfect school to start your kids off in the right direction. They value each child and share the love of Jesus with each one. I would highly recommend this school, and I am not sure what the other review is talking about. They have great programs, take the kids on field trips and keep us informed of what is happening on a weekly basis. The teachers are all so loving and have a passion for kids as well as Jesus.

I have not been pleased with the way certain incidents were handled at this school. I have seen teachers not paying enough attention to the children during play ( such as a child tyeing a jump rope to the top bar on the slide and trying to pull himself up and two other kids trying to scale the fence while a teacher gabbed with a fellow teacher). My son recently passed out at school and only one parent was called and the other was left in the dark about what was going on and contacted by the child's Doctor to be informed of his sever Dehydration. CPS wasn't even contacted even thought the school knew of the abuse suffered by the two children who attended there. These kids were told to pray about the atrocity they suffered. this school also has in the past employed who newly in recovery for meth use, who the state wont even give her more than weekend custody of her own child. i don't even think that this school should be open anymore. It doesn't look out for the welfare of it's children and only after the money in its pocket.
Pros: priced low
Cons: not worth the low price for your childs safety
