So glad I read the other reviews and took the reccommendation. This place is so comfortable and beautiful. The attention to detail is beyond what I have experience in even the finest of restaurants. Even their table bases are unlike any I had ever seen. Went to a happy hour with a large group on Monday Evening (they are NOT closed) and had a blast. One girl in our party had to bring her little boy and they even had a toy box for him to peruse. We can't wait to go back.
- Pros: great feel great food
- Cons: what con?
Thank You for opening your doors in San Diego!

Authentic french menu - for the daring or not. Excellent service. Fabulous decor (can I live here?). Interesting drinks, as well as food.
- Pros: food, service, decor, drinks
- Cons: i wish they were located in Marina District where I live!

This is the cutest little cafe in San Diego! Their French bread was really good, gooey and crunchy all at once. The portions were just right, and the atmosphere was quaint.

I loved the atmosphere, and the food. I ordered a beautiful salad with smoked trout, and it was just right. I had a delicious chocolate mousse and I cannot forget it. The employees were very friendly and very efficient. I would go back, in fact I have recommended it to several friends.

Love the food, the ambiance is very chic and haven't found another local cafe that serves my favorite Illy espresso! Forget Starbucks- so overrated. You need to try Cafe Chloe. This is a true cafe and local treat. Only downfall is that although the staff is very nice, they are very slooow and my server stood and chatted with another server for several minutes while holding my latte as I watched it get cold. When my food arrived, I ate it with my latte spoon as my server was once again chatting it up with another server instead of bringing me silverware and napkin. The brie omlette more than made up for it and he apologized so all is good and I will definately be back.

As it was Bastille Day, my boyfriend and I sought out a recommended French restaurant for dinner. When we arrived at Cafe Chloe, we first noticed its casual, romantic, and refined atmosphere. We were promptly seated, which unfortunately was nearly the only prompt thing about Cafe Chloe. After having finished our tartiflette reblochon starter, which was in itself original, we had to wait for thirty minutes for our main course of cassoulet au confit de canard. In the meantime, not a single person checked on us. Only after having finished our wine did our main course come. The server apologized for the wait as did the manager. The duck was moist and tender to the point of falling off the bone. Although good, the cassoulet itself was more an American-style casserole than a proper cassoulet. After having asked for the check, we were told the owner was kind enough to take the starter off the bill. So even though we had to wait half an hour for our dinner, I would still recommend Cafe Chloe. It was an overall good experience.
- Pros: romantic ambience, original take on classic dishes
- Cons: poor service

my friends and i love cafe chloe. it's so cute and scruptuous everyone should try it!!!!! I have basically shared this cafe with everyone I know including my family and my sophisticated teenage niece and her friends! My out of town guests feel at home as well. I'm a sucker for the white and black interior! enjoy!
The charm of a Parisian Bistro in the heart of San Diego...

Cafe Chloe offers the charm of a neighborhood bistro and the quality food of a gourmet restaurant. I have had dinner twice in the past week and both experiences were incredible: Service is casual but efficient; food is neatly presented but without pretention; wine is reasonably priced with a sufficient selection; the atmosphere is quaint but not stuffy.
Special mention to the Tartiflette... I felt like "home"!
Highly recommended!
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Food,
- Cons: Limited seating, come early...
Best Bistro in San Diego!

Cafe' Chloe represents one of my fondest memories of San Diego. I am currently away and miss this cozy, charming, intimate bistro/cafe'/wine bar. The design of everything, from the menu to the furniture and the spaces--various nooks and crannies to dine in (sooo romantic!) --is exquisitely detailed. It wasn 't unusual for me to go there 2/3 times a week and always have a different experience. I love the sophisticated choices of food, drinks and wines, the friendly staff, so attentive and bent to put everyone at ease, love the small gift area with books on food, wine, and Provence, and absolutely adore the music. Everything about Cafe' Chloe is about ambiance. When I walk in the door it's like being transported to Europe for few hours:)
- Pros: Intimacy, Exquisite food, wine, coffee drinks, atmosphere, feel of european literary cafe'
- Cons: price is a bit steep, not recommended if you want large portions of food
