Best workout in LaJolla Village
by mrslindsey at Citysearch
Since Club One got the WELL DESERVED toss out, this village jewel has become the rarity in this area packed with health clubs, spas, and boutiques-it's one of the few places where you can go and not only workout... but people watch while you do it! both inside and outside! It offers above par facilities and classes, Pilates, Yoga and amazing personal training. The ambiance is on line with the clientele and a great place to stop for out of town visitors. While the monthly dues are more than the average club in the area, it is for a good reason, this isn't a 24 hour fitness and is a well deserved respite for those of us who like to pay for what you get, and trust me- there are no sweaty muscle heads traipsing around ruining your zone or proliferating any unwelcome "work-out" advice
- Pros: Personal Trainers, parking, classes
- Cons: no spa
the best customer service staff
by sdking at Citysearch
This upscale health club is in a league of its own. I have had gym memberships all over san diego and when I moved to La Jolla I gladly turned in my old gym card for theirs. What makes them stand out is their staff. Right when you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a friend. The staff knows their members' by name, and they actually try to get to know you! Trainers are very helpful on the floor and very professional as well. Buying a membership from La Jolla Sports club is a one of a kind experience too. They aren't "used car salesmen", its very reasonable and you don't feel like you are being ripped off. You are not just another number to them. I can tell they hire the staff to cater to the members ... where else can you find a sharp dressed male folding towels to hand to you?
- Pros: Customer Service, very professional, great instructors
- Cons: none
Far above the rest

Everything from the exceptional staff, club cleanliness, amazing childcare, and variety of classes this health club has really set itself apart from others in the La Jolla area. I have worked with many trainers in my life and this club has some of the most knowledgable and well rounded trainers I have seen. I highly recommend.
- Pros: Trainers, and FREE group classes!!!!
- Cons: none that I have seen in 2 years

Excellent customer service combined with state-of-the art fitness equipment makes the La Jolla Sports Club the place to work out. Best club in the area.

- Cons: Can't find any.
The Best San Diego Has To Offer
by gtoplitz at Citysearch
Where do I start? I don?t think there is a negative comment you can say about this place!!! From the second I walked in the door I was greeted and tended to by each member of the staff like I was #1 priority. There are a lot of things that go into a "good" health facility. If an extremely clean facility, an inviting friendly staff, top of the line new equipment, an amazing personal training staff, an extensive group exercise schedule, private Pilates studio, and pristine locker rooms with steam rooms is what you are looking for; then look no further. Also very reasonable pricing for all they offer with membership. TRULY A MUST JOIN!!!
- Pros: AMAZING FACILITY
- Cons: NONE
