I visited my boyfriend in San Diego, and we went for a walk in Seaside Village then decided to stop here for lunch. He had been here a couple years earlier and remembered the he had enjoyed it. It is pricey and upscale food, but nobody was dressed up. We didn't have reservations, so we just had to wait about 5 minutes, and ended up with a great table facing the ocean and boardwalk. The windows are floor-to-cieling, so it is great for people watching too. We ordered the Idaho Trout and Chicken Maui and both were absolutely delicious. The trout was melt-in-your-mouth, cooked to perfection. The chicken was amazing, with pineapples and grilled plantain. This isn't somewhere I'd go regularly, as it is somewhat pricey, but it was the perfect place for a more memorable lunch. Definitely ask for a table by the window when you make the reservation.

Pros: Amazing view, great fish

Cons: Somewhat pricey

We are visiting from out of town and had the misfortune of selecting Harbor House for dinner on 6/1/07. The food was below average, service bad and all at a very high price. The sauces were very salty, drinks were not correct, service was extremely poor. This was a very expensive bad experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

Pros: location

Cons: bad food, poor service

This restaurant is a must when we visit San Diego so I figured it's about time to post a review. If you like fresh seafood and tasty appetizers complimented by good drinks in a casual atmosphere then this is the place for you. We have a 4-yr old so the casual dining is especially appreciated. We like the outdoor seating and great views of San Diego marina. I'm from Seattle originally but now live in Arizona so a visit to San Diego MUST include good seafood - and I have high standards! We don't visit San Diego without stopping into this restaurant at least once on our visit. TRY IT OUT!

Pros: Service, Views, Food

Cons: Don't forget to validate your parking if parking at Seaport Village!

The clam chowder is outstanding, but then again, everything here is outstanding. If you order one of the local varieties of fish, chances are good that you'll be eating one that was caught the same morning. This place deserves more recognition.

Pros: Usually not crowded

Editor's Review

Seaport Village stunner's peg legs stick right into the San Diego Bay, with a super-fresh seafood menu served since 1980.  See the full editorial review.
